A few weekends ago, my friend, Elisa, and I decided to go on an adventure to Habana, the Cuban restaurant that recently opened at the Irvine Spectrum. Since we are both obsessed with discovering yummy restaurants with photo worthy interiors, we decided to check it out!
Habana serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner options throughout the week. On Sundays only, they offer a $40 unlimited, all you-can-eat buffet from 10AM-3PM. However, this is the only menu that is available during that time. My advice is to come with a really big appetite. Elisa and I ended up here on a Sunday, and because we weren’t starving, we had to pass. Luckily, they have a cafe that is connected to the restaurant, so we opted for that instead.
We were really impressed with the decor and style of the restaurant. From the bar to the table settings, you can tell a lot of thought went into every detail. Their color theme includes a lot of turquoise and pink, which makes you feel like you are actually in Cuba. Also, I want to call out that their water is served in very pretty crystal water goblets!
Elisa and I spent a good chunk of time taking photos! However, we made time to sit down and enjoy the fresh coffee and warm guava pastries that they are known for. They literally melted in our mouths.
We were so busy running around the cafe taking a million photos, that Peter, the director of Habana, eventually noticed. He was so kind! He ended up offering us more pastries and dessert to take home and share with our friends and family. Again, I want point out that they pack their pastries in the cutest pink boxes!
All in all, I can’t wait to come back and explore their restaurant area. Also, I want to eat more pastries, taste some of their specialty cocktails (especially the one that comes in a coconut), and try their lunch/dinner menu! It’s totally worth checking out!
On a side note, my dress is from Owl Fish and my earrings are from Victor and Marc! This dress is so comfortable and really easy to wear. I loved the color, which is what actually caught my eye. It’s a bit low cut, but using a safety pin helped with that! In general, I love how comfortable and affordable their clothes are.
